This safari takes you to the remote southwestern region of Uganda for an unforgettable gorilla trek in the dense Bwindi Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for safeguarding the world’s largest population of endangered mountain gorillas.
The 3 Day Bwindi Safari commences with a scenic road trip from Kampala to Bwindi National Park and then returns to either Kampala or Entebbe. This extraordinary gorilla safari offers a chance to observe mountain gorillas up close, just a few meters away – an encounter that many describe as utterly unique and thrilling.
In addition to gorilla encounters, the tour includes a visit to the Batwa pygmies’ community, allowing you to spend valuable time with them and gain insight into their historical forest life, contemporary lifestyle, and cultural traditions.

With a park ranger, you will enter into the forest and start searching for the mountain gorilla family.
No one is ever certain about how long the trek will last because it all depends on how far and where the gorillas have moved hence determining the time you will take to come across them. When you encounter them, you will be allowed to stand at least 7 metres away from them for an hour and later on return to the park headquarters to pick your trekking certificates.
Trekkers will have their packed lunch in the forest if the trek lasts long and can still return to the lodge with it in case they return earlier than expected.
Drive back to the lodge, freshen up and relax. You will head out to the Batwa community in the evening. These pygmies have a lot to share with visitors including how they lived in Bwindi with gorillas, how they have normalized out of the forest and then they will entertain you with their cultural dance.
