This 8 day Uganda Safari will give you an opportunity to trek gorillas, view wildlife, experience the spectacular scenery and nature of Uganda. The trip will take you to the world’s most popular home of the Chimpanzees- Kibale national park, then to the home of the amazing tree climbing lions-Queen Elizabeth national park and to the prime gorilla trekking destination- Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park.
During this safari, you will encounter the human-alike apes (chimpanzees and mountain gorillas) and also have a great chance to see various wildlife including lions, leopard, elephant, waterbuck, Uganda kobs and several bird species at all the destinations
Highlights
Day 1: Airport Pick up and transfer to your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe
On arrival at the airport, the company driver will receive you and drive you to your booked hotel in Kampala or around Entebbe while briefing you about the safari. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale national park
You will have breakfast at your lodge and set off for Kibale national park where you will arrive late afternoon. The journey takes you through the beautiful Fort Portal city where you will have a stop for lunch before proceeding to the park. Arrival at Kibale, check in to the lodge, have dinner and rest.

Day 3: Kibale Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi nature walk
Rise up early and have breakfast, then head to the park offices for briefing before starting the trek. You will be added to a group of other trekkers and allocated a chimpanzee family to track. Enter the forest and look for chimpanzees, and when you encounter them, you will stay with them for an hour. You are allowed to take photos but flash cameras are prohibited. You have enough time to also observe and learn about their behaviors before returning to the lodge for lunch. Later on in the afternoon, you will go for a swamp walk in Bigodi with a chance to sight more primates and a variety of birds. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
After having breakfast at your lodge, you will check out and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. It is a scenic three hours’ drive via Kasese town with stunning views of the Rwenzori mountains. Have lunch at the lodge and go for the afternoon Kazinga channel boat cruise. This is a highlight at the park. It offers an exciting wildlife viewing experience of watching hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and so many bird species. After the boat cruise, you will drive back to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 5: Game drive and nature walk or crater drive
Take a cup of coffee and drive to the plains of Kasenyi. You have a chance of spotting many other animals along the way. The lovely sunset also features this game drive. While driving through the tracks, expect to come across animals including Uganda kobs, warthogs, lion, leopard, spotted hyena, elephants and waterbucks among others.
When you return to the lodge, you will have lunch relax, then head for a nature walk in the evening. The nature walk gets you closer to the wildlife and as you enjoy the magnificent views of the park.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Morning breakfast and drive to Ishasha for a game drive to search for tree climbing lions. The sector is home to many other mammals that you may also come across. You will have lunch enroute and proceed to Bwindi impenetrable Forest national park. Dinner and the overnight at the lodge.

Day 7: Gorilla trekking
At your lodge, you will rise up very early and serve a heavy breakfast, pack your lunch, energy giving snacks and drinking water. Head to the park offices for briefing and start the trek with other members of the group. Each group of tourists is allocated a different gorilla family that you will search for with a ranger guide. When you spot the mountain gorillas, the guide shares a lot about them while you observe and take photos. If the trek lasts long, you will enjoy your lunch in the forest. At the end of the trek, you will return to the park offices, pick your trekking certificates and drive to Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 8: canoe ride and return to Kampala
Have breakfast at your lodge and prepare to go and explore Africa’s most beautiful lake- L. Bunyonyi. You will ride on the lake in a wooden boat taking you to locations where you will get the best of the lake including views of the surrounding hills, the various islands and the Virunga ranges at a distance.
After the canoe ride, embark on the return journey to Kampala or Entebbe. You will have an enroute lunch and stop over at Kayabwe for photos while posing at the equator monument and have the water experiment too. Proceed to Kampala or Entebbe to your hotel.
