This 5 Days Wild Safari in the rich Queen Elizabeth national park takes you exploring the savannah reserve at its fullest

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth national park
As you enjoy your breakfast at the lodge or residence, your safari driver will meet you, give a briefing about the tour and transfer you to the park. You will drive westwards through the Masaka-Mbarara route which gives an opportunity to travelers to stop over and straddle at the equator monument. You will continue with the journey and stop in Mbarara for lunch, then proceed to the park. Dinner and the overnight at the booked lodge.

Day 2: Morning game drive and Boat cruise in the afternoon
This is another beautiful day in the wild starting with a cup of coffee and then head out for a game drive in Kasenyi plains. The safari guide takes you through long connecting tracks as you watch different species of mammals including elephant, waterbuck, hippo, Uganda kob and lion. Leopards are present in the park and can be sighted.
Several birds of prey and other kinds of birds are also seen.
The game drive ends with a return to the lodge. Have breakfast, and later on enjoy your lunch followed by a transfer to the jetty. You will go for the boat cruise on Kazinga channel and sit for two hours watching numerous hippos, buffaloes and crocodiles. The channel banks are decorated with beautiful birds including the pied kingfisher, African spoon-bill, egrets, water thick-knee, pink backed pelican and the long-tailed cormorant among others. Retire to the lodge and relax.
Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Ishasha sector
On this day, you will rise up early and have breakfast, then transfer to Kyambura. Off the main road as you connect to the Kyambura park offices, you will enjoy the scenic vast plains of Queen Elizabeth and spot lots of birds. You will be welcomed and briefed about chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura gorge, slope down to the forest with a ranger guide and look for the apes. There is much more to see including forest birds, monkeys and may spot other mammals. Since Kyambura has few chimpanzees, they are quite hard to encounter. They often make loud noise and once you hear them, you will simply follow the sounds and try your best to find them. After the strenuous trek, you will head for lunch and transfer to Ishasha where you will spend the overnight.

Day 4: Long game drive in Ishasha
This day’s activity is the one that takes you to the real wilderness of Queen Elizabeth national park. You will spend most of the hours of the day driving around Ishasha searching for the tree climbing lions and other wildlife in this sector such as elephants. When you return to the lodge, you will freshen up, have lunch and relax. You can chill at a camp fire in the evening as you watch the beauty of the sky from this part of the country.
Day 5: Return to Kampala
This will be the last day of the 5-day wild safari in queen Elizabeth national park. You will rise up, have breakfast and check out. Embark on the journey to Kampala and the driver will drop you at your lodge or at the airport.
