Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Murchison falls national park

After breakfast at your lodge in Kampala, you will check out and set off for Murchison falls national park. This is a 6-7 hours journey including any necessary stop overs. You will drive through the busy suburbs of Kampala and the Luweero triangle and stopover in Masindi for lunch. Proceed through Kichumbanyobo gate, Budongo Forest and drive to the top of the falls. It is a breathtaking experience to watch these beautiful waterfalls and then get wet by the showers from the falls. After here, drive to your lodge for dinner and the overnight.

Day 2: Morning game drive and Afternoon boat cruise

Take a cup of coffee and head out for the early morning game drive. It takes you to the northern banks of Murchison Falls NP where you will encounter the various residents of the area including giraffes, elephants, Jackson’s hartebeest, hippos, Uganda kobs and warthogs among others. Lions and leopards are present in the park and can be sighted. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge, have lunch and prepare for the boat cruise.

The afternoon boat cruise gives a chance to see a variety of animals along the banks of the Nile since it is hot. Crocodiles are sun bathing, elephants sipping some water and hippos enjoying their habitat. Several bird species are always roaming around the shores and in the vegetation around the river. On arrival at the bottom of the falls, you will be allowed to stay there for a moment to take a closer look and lots of photos. Then get back to the ending point and return to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Nile Delta boat cruise

Once you get done with your breakfast, you will set off to Paraa to get onto the boat that takes you exploring the Nile heading to the Albert delta. It is another chance to see more semi- aquatic and aquatic animals and many more birds. There is also a chance to see game include elephants, giraffe and antelopes. At the end of the launch trip, you will drive to your lodge for lunch and relax. You can have one more game drive in the evening for a chance to spot animals that you might have missed on the last game drive.   

Dinner and the overnight at the lodge

Day 4: Rhino tracking and return to Kampala

After an early morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and exit the park. Drive to Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking. As you search for the rhinos, you will encounter other wildlife including antelopes and various bird species. This is an amazing experience where tourists watch rhinos on the same land yet they are not enclosed. You are guided by a ranger guide. You will have lunch and proceed with the journey to Kampala
