This 10 day Uganda and Rwanda safari is a whole thrill that takes you for the life changing experiences of encountering the majestic gorillas face-to-face, stand right in front of your cousins the chimpanzees, see the beautiful golden monkeys, watch the tree climbing lions and interact with the locals to learn more about their cultures

Day 1: Arrival at Kigali international airport, pick up and transfer to your hotel
When you arrive at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by our company representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Kigali as he takes you through the program of the trip. You will check in, have lunch and relax after the tiresome flight.

Day 2: City tour and transfer to Volcanoes national park
Rise up to a cup of coffee and its accompaniments, then head for a city tour around Kigali. With an English-speaking well experienced safari guide, you will visit a number of places including the Genocide Memorial Site for an insight of the Rwanda Genocide of 1994, an art gallery and a craft shop. You will have lunch in Kigali and thereafter transfer to Volcanoes National Park. Arrive at your lodge in the evening, have dinner and rest.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking and Iby’iwachu cultural tour
This day starts very early with a morning breakfast at the lodge. You will then pack your drinking water and head to the park offices for briefing about gorilla trekking, get to know the people you will trek with and your ranger guide for the day. Enter the forest and start searching for the gorillas. The forest is home to other wildlife which you may come across, for example baboons, monkeys and birds. When you finally spot the mountain gorillas, you will get as close as 7m or more away from them and it is so good enough to observe them. This is one of the most breathtaking experiences every tourist needs to have in Africa. After an hour with the gorillas, you will return to the lodge for lunch and then go for a cultural tour.
The cultural tour allows you meet and have some time to share stories with the Rwanda locals, know more about their lifestyle and delight in a moment of entertainment by cultural performers from this village. Return to the lodge for dinner and the overnight.
Day 4: Golden monkey tracking and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Rise up early morning and have breakfast, then transfer to the park offices of Volcanoes national park for yet another briefing, but this time for golden monkey tracking. Penetrate into the forest with a ranger guide. He will lead you to the Bamboo Forest area where the golden monkeys are commonly spotted. Once you spot them, you will be allowed to stay with them for an hour and then return to the park offices, meet your safari driver and get on the journey to Bwindi in southwestern Uganda. Arrival at the park in the evening, check in to your lodge and have dinner. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 5: Bwindi Gorilla trekking and Batwa cultural experience
After an early morning breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking by the head ranger guide. Make sure to have packed your lunch and enough drinking water. Get started with the adventure by entering the forest to look out for the gorillas. In Bwindi, it is not as easy as it is to spot the gorillas as it is in volcanoes national park. however, the duration of the trek is never specific because it all depends on the location of the gorillas. As you hike through the forest, expect to encounter other wildlife including black and white colobus monkeys, baboons and other kinds of monkeys. When you find the gorillas, you will stay with them for an hour and learn a lot about their behaviors and other facts. Return to the park offices and pick your trekking certificate. In the afternoon, you will visit one of the Batwa communities for a cultural experience. These pygmies lived in the forests with gorillas before they were evicted. With this, they have a lot to tell you about their life in the forest and also do a cultural performance. You will drive back to the lodge, have dinner and rest.
Day 6: Transfer to Ishasha – Queen Elizabeth national park
Leave Bwindi in the morning and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have an enroute lunch and arrive at our lodge in the evening. Check in and relax at the lodge as you enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 7: Game drive in Ishasha and transfer to Kasenyi
After having breakfast, you head out for a game drive in Ishasha for a chance to see the famous tree climbing lions of Ishasha. If its your lucky day, you could come across many of them relaxing on the tree branches as the day gets hotter. Return to the lodge for lunch and transfer to Kasenyi for an evening game drive. This exploration allows you to see many of the big game in Kasenyi including waterbucks, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, lion, leopard and elephant. Drive to the lodge for dinner and the overnight.
Day 8: Morning game drive and Afternoon boat cruise
Wake up and take a cup of coffee, then drive out for your morning game drive in Kasenyi plains. They host many Uganda kobs, buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs and these attract predators including lions and leopards which are also most sighted in this area more than any other part of the park. After about 4 hours of the game drive, you will drive back to the lodge, have lunch and go for a boat cruise on Kazinga channel. This launch trip is a great opportunity to see a variety of wildlife; hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants and an impressive checklist of birds along the shores of the channel.
After the boat cruise, transfer to Fort Portal, dinner and overnight at the hotel
Day 9: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi swamp tour
You will rise up early, have breakfast and transfer to Kibale forest. On arrival at the park offices, you will go through a briefing about chimpanzee trekking and thereafter penetrate into the tropical forest for the adventure. Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale offers a chance to see other wildlife in the forest including red-tailed monkey, grey cheeked mangabey, black and white colobus monkeys and baboons among others. The moment you spot the chimpanzees, it gets you skipping some heart beats. An unusual experience of getting close to these amazing primates in their natural habitat! After an hour with them, return to the park offices, meet your safari driver, drive to the restaurant for lunch and go for Bigodi swamp tour.

Day 10: Transfer to Kampala or Entebbe
This is the last day of your 10 days Rwanda and Uganda adventure safari. Have breakfast at the lodge and depart from Kibale or Fort Portal to Kampala or Entebbe international airport if you are proceeding for your flight back home
